This tutorial includes both Parts 1 and 2 of my "Snap Decisions" lesson. Interchangeable polymer clay jewelry . . . in a snap. This is an exciting new concept and the most versatile way for creating interchangeable jewelry pieces from polymer clay. Wear your special art bead as a pendant one day and switch it out to wear on a bracelet or as a ring the next. Any clay technique can be applied to this concept and it is not only fun to wear but fun to make!
The lessons are broken down as follows:
This new system basically consists of a "snap" like finding that you either fill or add to the back of your clay design along with various jewelry findings to snap in and wear. There are some little tricks to working with these snap findings and that is what I share with you in this 25+ page lesson. Also included are step by step instructions on the various ways to work with the snap findings as well as ideas and inspiration for creating with them in our 3 page photo gallery at the end.
While any clay technique can be applied, as a bonus, I share how to make our popular Jewel-tone Textured Flowers. These are similar to our "Sculpted Flowers" (see other tutorial listed) but are instead textured and colored in rich jewel tones.
In this 40 page tutorial I show various methods on how to create your own polymer clay findings such as a pendant or bracelet link that have a snap base embedded. It is for those who would prefer to not use a lot of the commercial type findings and therefore create them in their own style.
There are several tools and supplies to create these pieces and I include step by step instructions on the various ways to use them so you can choose your preferred method.
Some polymer clay experience is recommended such as knowledge on how to condition and bake your clay pieces, etc. More advanced clay experience is recommended for Part 2.
This tutorial will be sent out to the e-mail address provided within 24 hours of purchase.
